You can enter words, and the computer will look for a match for those words only in the subject fields of all the items in the Libraries. This type of search is like using the yellow pages of the phone book -- searching by topics or categories.

Use a subject search when you:

• have completed a keyword search and have discovered subject headings to search more specifically
• find a book on your topic and you need to find more
• want to see what is available in the Libraries on your topic
• know the subject heading to use
• want to find a book about a person
